Trade Marketeer Smart Home

As Trade Marketer, you will be responsible for the management and analysis of the assigned categories: Smart Home, comfort and security. You have an important advisory role towards the purchaser to make the right decisions regarding the evolution of the category and the introduction of new products. You are responsible for the development of recommended retail pricing and advise the sales department on the “go to market” strategy. You are also responsible for the (co-) creation of packaging, manuals and (digital) content. You develop POS material and devise creative displays.

Some of your tasks

Category management: continuous monitoring of the assigned categories
Translating the category plan into concrete actions and drawing up a planning with the proposed marketing actions: assortment, price, packaging, promotion and publicity in consultation with sales and purchasing
You work together with internal and external stakeholders (sales department, purchase, customers and suppliers)
You maintain close contact with external agencies
You are responsible for setting up category reviews: you analyse the market trends, the competition and your own assortments
You develop POS material and maintain the shelf plan of the assigned categories
You develop concepts which are attractive for an omnichannel proposition
You support the Marcom strategy
You keep yourself constantly up to date with developments concerning the assigned product groups

Your profile

You have a minimum of a Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Marketing and/or Communication Sciences or a comparable level through your experience
You have at least 5 years of working experience, preferably in a retail environment. This can be either on the side of a supplier or a retailer
You have strong analytical skills
You have a good knowledge of MS Office
Knowledge of graphic programs such as Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus
You are an experienced “story teller”. When you are speaking people listen carefully
You have a strong affinity with social media
You communicate fluently in Dutch, French and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of German is a plus.
