Senior Buyer

You are responsible for all purchasing activities of the product categories self-build and HVAC (heat pumps and ventilation systems). In your category, you help determine the purchasing strategy and, together with the sales department, you ensure the turnover and margin strategy. You report directly to the purchasing director.

Some of your tasks

You determine the strategy and ensure its elaboration in terms of assortment determination and category management
You manage your supplier files and negotiate annual contracts, negotiating the best price and purchase conditions.
You actively prospect for new suppliers and make a good analysis of price comparisons
You follow the market developments closely
You make a monthly analysis of the turnover and evolution and make an action plan together with sales where necessary
In collaboration with marketing, you make a sell-out plan in the event of category review or new assortments
In your assigned product categories, you ensure innovation and turnover development

Your profile

You have a Bachelor or Master degree
You have at least 10 years of relevant work experience in purchasing technical products (electrical installation material or HVAC)
Ideally you have experience in the technical wholesale sector
You are fluent in communication and interaction with different departments
Dutch is your mother tongue and you have an excellent knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written
